Warming Up!

Today is looking like a good day in Breckenridge, we got some snow and the temperature is warming up, woo-hoo!  How are you folks spending this lovely hump day?  I am especially excited because my little brother visiting from NY for the week! 

Things to do in Breck while he is here:

Brrrr.

It was a cold one out there this morning, -17 degrees when I woke up!  It is cold and the sun is shining in Breckenridge, it's the way it supposed to be!  If you are skiing today make sure to layer up, try not to leave any skin exposed and if it is, use sunscreen.  I hope everyone is having a fantastic time in Breckenridge and that everyone has been praying to Ullr for more snow!  What a wonderful Ullr week it was.

Ullr Ullr Ullr

It is Ullr Week, I hope you've got your viking horns ready to wear.  Tonight at Carter park is Ullympics from 6-8pm, you  don't want to miss it.  Tomorrow is the Ullr dating game at Cecelia's Night Club, this is for the 21 and over crowd, be prepared to laugh your pants off at the silly antics.  On Thursday comes the Ullr parade, floats filled with vikings, sled-dogs, Norse God's of Snow, and much more, will flood the streets of Breckenridge.  On Friday, Jan. 11, laugh it up with comedians Marc Ryan and Troy Walker. The celebration closes out on Saturday, Jan. 12 with a pond hockey tournament and Viking-themed costume contest.

Hello 2013

I hope you have all had a fresh start to the new year!  Coming up this week in Breckenridge is the 50th Celebration of the Norse God of Snow, Ullr!  Sunday kicks off Ullr Festivities with the crowning of Ullr Royalty and a free concert by the Luv Brothers.  Grab some free beer and get your dancing shoes on for the rock/bluegrass band.  Party starts at 6:00 pm at the Riverwalk Center.  Stay tuned for more Ullr info!
